Helm Studios Subsidization Fund
Helm Studios, BC’s only Non-Profit music production studio, is excited to announce the introduction of the ‘Helm Studios Subsidization Fund’. This program, supported by Creative BC, the city of Vancouver, and the province of British Columbia is a re-distribution of funds to 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC artists in British Columbia supporting the creation of recorded musical works.
Helm Studios will be funding the creation of 2 songs for 10 artists facing systemic barriers in the BC music industry. These artists will be provided with fully-funded studio time (with an engineer/producer) to write, record, and produce their music, and fully-funded post-production (mixing and mastering) to get their music ready for distribution.
Application forms are available upon request; Please contact Helm Studios by email at helmstudiosyvr@gmail.com if you are a BC-based artist and identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ and/or BIPOC. The submission deadline for this fund is September 15th 2021. Video and phone submission options, as well as transcription are available to artists facing language barriers or affected by disability.
